Linzer Biscuits


These biscuits are great for wedding favours and cutting out accurate shapes as they keep their shape!

Ingredients Required:

  • 600g Plain Flour
  • 400g Butter
  • 200g Icing Sugar
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • A drop of vanilla extract

Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla together. Add the egg yolk and mix again. Add the flour (don’t overmix) and form the mix into a 3-4cm thick paste. Wrap the paste in silicone paper.

Place the paste into the fridge for half an hour. You’re now ready to roll the paste out onto a lightly floured surface and cut out the biscuit shapes.

Bake the biscuits at 180°C for 12 minutes.
